World Breeding Championship For Young Dressage Horses Confirmed
The date and location of the 2002 World Breeding Championship for Young
Dressage Horses are confirmed in Verden (GER) from 1 to 4 August.
Best 2001 Horse/Rider Combination In Jumping And Dressage
Rolf-Göran Bengtsson/Isovlas
Pialotta (SWE) and Ulla Salzgeber/Rusty 47
(GER) are the best 2001 combinations in Jumping and Dressage
respectively.
The FEI/Gandini World
Jumping Riders' Rankings and the FEI/BCM World
Dressage Rankings served as the basis for the calculation of the best
combinations of 2001 in Jumping and Dressage. The previous Olympic and
World Championships points were not included in the calculation. Only
the points obtained from 1 Jan. to 31 Dec. 2001 were taken into account.
In Jumping, the reliability of his 12-year old bay Westphalien mare
Isovlas Pialotta brought Rolf-Göran Bengtsson to the first place
on the
2001 combination classification, with 1204 points, far ahead of
Goldfever 3/Ludger Beerbaum (1199 points) who leads the FEI/Gandini
Rankings since January 2001. Ludo Pilippaerts (BEL), Rodrigo Pessoa
(BRA) and Ludger Beerbaum (GER) are the only riders placed twice in the
Top 20.
In Dressage, the hierarchy
of the FEI/BCM World Dressage Rankings is
respected and the leader of the rankings, the German rider Ulla
Salzgeber (World Cup champion and European Champion) is on top of the
classification with the 14-year old chestnut gelding Rusty 47, ahead of
Nadine Capellmann/Farbenfroh (GER) and Lars Petersen/Blue Hors Cavan
(DEN).
