Secures Export Funding For Industry
|
BETA
has again secured sponsorship status and funding to help businesses
with the costs of exhibiting at Spoga in Cologne, Germany from August
31 to September 2.
The
funding worth nearly £50,000 is a huge boost for the industry
and has been made possible through Trade Partners UK, which is the
export arm of the Department of Trade and Industry.
Spoga
is one of the major trade shows for the equestrian industry attracting
retailers from all over the world.
Last
year BETA took one of the largest groups of British exhibitors to
the Fair with 19 of the 27 companies exhibiting comprising the official
British Group.
The
Association itself was a first time exhibitor and offered trade
members not attending the opportunity to have their product literature
displayed on the BETA Industry stand.
As
part of the SESA (Support for Exhibitions and Seminars Abroad) scheme,
Trade Partners UK will fund 60 per cent of the stand and build costs
for each qualifying company.
BETA
Chief Executive and Secretary Claire Williams said: "We are
delighted to have secured funding from Trade Partners UK once again.
"The
contribution to the stands makes a real difference to companies
and can mean the difference between the firms making the decision
to attend or having to give the show a miss."
The
maximum a company will receive is £2,300 and although BETA
is co-ordinating the project, funding is open to both BETA members
and non-members. Participating BETA members will however be charged
a lower management fee.
For
further information and to apply for funding please contact Claire
Williams at BETA on 01937 587062.
