Diamond celebrations for Royal Windsor Horse Show
Royal
Windsor Horse Show 14th 18th May 2003 celebrates its 60th
birthday this year and will be marking the occasion with a spectacular
recreation of the first ever show held in 1943 as a part of Wings
for Victory, the innovative and successful World War II, national
fund raising initiative.
A
firm favourite amongst both competitors and spectators, Royal Windsor
Horse Show heralds the start of Britains outdoor show season.
This years show will bring together the largest number of
horses and classes at a single venue, including the prestigious
British Isles Showing Championships, international carriage driving,
top class show jumping, sensational shopping and fine foods.
Following
on from the success of All The Queens Horses, held at Royal
Windsor in 2002, the shows highlight will be the daily staging
of the Wings for Victory extravaganza. Produced by Sir
Michael Parker, Wings for Victory will include aerial displays,
a celebration of the horses vital role in World War II, both
land and air contributions from the RAF and a formation fly past.
