The Blood-Horse Launches Online Directory Of Thoroughbred Welfare
And Rescue Organizations
LEXINGTON,
KY - In conjunction with its focus on the plight of the retired
and unwanted Thoroughbred in the February 28 issue of The Blood-Horse
magazine, Blood-Horse Publications announces the establishment of
what is believed to be the first-ever online directory of Thoroughbred
welfare and rescue organizations. Located on the Web at http://retirement.bloodhorse.com,
the site features a searchable database of foundations and facilities
located throughout the United States, Canada, and Mexico, as well
as England, Portugal and New Zealand.
In
addition, the site also offers online visitors the opportunity to
submit additional Thoroughbred retirement resources for inclusion
in the online directory. The site, which is "live" and
ready to serve, can also be accessed via a hyperlink in the Web
Resources section of the left-side navigation menu of all major
pages of bloodhorse.com.
These
listings represent both nonprofit and for-profit organizations.
The Blood-Horse cannot vouch for, recommend, or guarantee any of
the facilities listed. The listings are provided strictly as a service
for the public.
In
addition to The Blood-Horse, the company's flagship publication,
Blood-Horse Publications, publishers since 1916, also publishes
The Horse: Your Guide To Equine Health Care, a monthly equine health
care magazine; TBH MarketWatch, a newsletter for Thoroughbred investors;
the official Kentucky Derby and Breeders' Cup souvenir magazines;
Auction Edge; and Keeneland magazine. In addition, Blood-Horse Publications
also publishes equine-related books and videos under the Eclipse
Press banner, and operates a family of leading Web sites including
bloodhorse.com, TheHorse.com, ExclusivelyEquine.com, and StallionRegister.com.
The Blood-Horse is the oldest continually published North American
Thoroughbred magazine.
