Jumper Classic CSI**** - New Four-Star Horse Show Added To 2004 Season
WELLINGTON,
FL - February 4, 2004 - Eugene R. Mische, president of Stadium Jumping,
Inc., has announced the dates for the premiere of a new four-star
show jumping competition in Charlotte, North Carolina.
The
Charlotte Jumper Classic CSI**** will be held April 9 -11 in the
Charlotte Coliseum with a total purse of $260,000. The featured
event is the $150,000 Grand Prix of Charlotte For the Charlotte
Bobcat Cup, Member Event of the AGA Grand Prix Series of Show Jumping.
Formatted
to showcase top performers, there are 11 elite classes scheduled
over three days, creating a spectator-pleasing special event geared
to attracting sports fans to the 14,000-seat Charlotte Coliseum.
Competition
will start at 2pm on Friday, April 9, featuring three classes -
the $5,000 Amateur Competition, $5,000 International Competition,
and $5,000 Young Rider Competition. On Friday evening, starting
at 7pm, riders will contest the $25,000 Charlotte Welcome Stake
Qualifier.
On
Saturday, April 10, competition kicks off at 2pm with the $5,000
Young Rider Speed Stake and the $10,000 Top Score Competition (Gambler's
Choice). On Saturday evening, starting at 7pm, top show jumpers
in this country will turn out for the $25,000 Grand Prix of Charlotte
Round One For The Charlotte Bobcat Cup. Wrapping up the evening
will be the $5,000 Amateur Top Score Competition.
The
ultra-thrilling finale to this prestigious event is Grand Prix Sunday
on April 11, which features three Grand Prix classes starting at
3pm - the $25,000 Charlotte Young Riders Grand Prix, the $25,000
Charlotte Amateur Grand Prix, and the capper to this extravaganza,
the $150,000 Grand Prix of Charlotte Round Two For the Charlotte
Bobcat Cup, Member Event of the AGA Series of Show Jumping.
Closing
date for rider entries is March 6, 2004. Prize lists are available
