Hughes Second At Bordeaux
|
IRELAND'S
Marion Hughes moved up a few gears at the World Cup show in Bordeaux
today (Saturday) with her best performance so far at this year's
event.
Taking
second place in the 1m40 Table A class this afternoon with the 13
yr-old Laughton's Flight mare <Heritage O'Jessie>, Hughes
trounced some of Europe's best riders and horses with a clear round
and a fast time that came in just under 1.5 seconds behind French
winner Michel Robert on <Oylmpia>.
Hughes
had earlier taken a sixth place at Bordeaux on <Galileo>,
a tenth on <Heritage Spirit>, and yesterday a seventh on <O'Jessie>.
Much
later tonight both Hughes and fellow Irish rider Dermott Lennon
will try to gain vital World Cup points at the Bordeaux Grand Prix
World Cup Class.
