Royal To Visit Army Equitation School Tuesday Feb 17

THE
Army Equitation School at McKee Barracks, Dublin, will see its first
visit by a member of the British Royal Family tomorrow (Tuesday)
since 1900, when Queen Victoria inspected what was then Marlborough
Barracks.
HRH
The Princess Royal is to be given a presentation at the School during
her one-day visit to the state. A keen horsewoman for most of her
life, Her Royal Highness will hear a brief history of the Equitation
School and an outline of the current training programme, before
watching a riding demonstration and then touring the stables.
Equitation
School OC, Lt. Col. Gerry Mullins, said today: << We will
be delighted to receive the Princess Royal and acquaint her with
both our history and our current training programme, which includes
many aspects of the EFI Coaching Scheme, now regarded as one of
the best in the world.>>

The Princess Royal is expected to arrive at McKee Barracks at approximately
11.35 am.
