Old
Pueblo Routs Orchard Hill 14-9 In Hall Of Fame Polo Action Friday
At International Polo Club Palm Beach
WELLINGTON,
Florida Eight-goaler Jeff Hall and substitute Kris Kampsen
scored five goals each to lead Old Pueblo over Orchard Hill 14-9
in a 22-goal Hall of Fame Cup polo match Friday at International
Polo Club Palm Beach.
Hall
scored three consecutive goals in a 77-second span in the fifth
chukker to give Old Pueblo a 12-8 margin. Orchard Hills Julio
Arellano scored with 5:10 remaining in the fifth chukker to cut
the lead to 9-8. But Hall took over, converting a penalty shot with
4:15 left, then scoring on a breakaway from the ensuing throw-in
and adding a forehand on the next possession to virtually clinch
the victory.
Kampsen
and Brandon Phillips scored midway through the sixth chukker to
round out Old Pueblos scoring.
Kampsen,
a 6-goaler, was filling in for the injured Nicolas Roldan, a 7-goaler
who hurt his knee and ankle during a practice earlier in the week.
Roldan is expected to be sidelined for at least a week.
Phillips

did not score.
