INDIO, CA (March 6, 2001)--Horse Shows In The Sun and Cosequin® have announced a new title sponsor for the pre-green hunter final in the Cosequin U.S. Grand Prix League Invitational Finals to be held September 26-30, 2001, in Culpeper, Virginia. The invitation-only class is called the "$25,000 Pre-Green Hunter Invitational Sponsored by Stillwell-Hansen, Inc. and Four Winds Farm." The top 30 Hunters in the U.S. will be selected to compete in this finals class based on points earned at more than 45 member shows nationwide during this year's league season, including all six of the HITS horse show circuits. The $25,000 Pre-Green Hunter Invitational sponsored by Stillwell-Hansen, Inc. and Four Winds Farm is one of five finals classes. The other classes are: · $100,000 Cosequin Grand Prix · $25,000 Junior/Amateur-Owner Jumper High Classic · $15,000 Junior/Amateur-Owner Jumper Low Classic · $5,000 Pony Jumper Classic Stillwell-Hansen and Four Winds Farm have also been named title sponsor of the Pre-Green Invitational Wild Card class to be held on September 25, 2001 at Commonwealth Park in Culpeper. Located in the Raritan Center in Edison, New Jersey, Stillwell-Hansen has been operating for more than 30 years and provides products and service in Network Power Protection, Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC), Fire Protection, and Electronic Equipment Protection. "Because my business is so successful, it is important for me to give back," said Ms. Stillwell. "My philosophy is, when you give unconditionally, it comes back to you in life. You never think of the end result, it's giving with no strings attached." Ms. Stillwell is a horsewoman and active competitor in the Senior Division, 51 & Over. She trains and shows with Four Winds Farm owned by Bill Ellis and David Connors in Holmdell, New Jersey. She included the barn name in her sponsorship because the barn shares her philosophy. "It's where I ride," she said. "Everything associated with Four Winds is part of my philosophy. This establishes Four Winds' identity too." As a competitor, Ms. Stillwell shows at HITS events in Ocala, Florida; Culpeper, Virginia; and Ellenville, New York. She chose to become a sponsor with HITS and the Cosequin USGPL shows because, "It's important to me to be involved with horse shows that know and understands quality," she said, adding, "I thank HITS for having the senior division classes. At this age, you really are in a class of your own." In 1998, HITS reintroduced the USGPL with Cosequin® as the title sponsor. This year marks the fourth consecutive year that the Cosequin USGPL Invitational Finals have been held at Commonwealth Park, in Culpeper, Virginia. Website: www.HitsShows.com |
