Lady Runs to Help Horses
|
A
Legal Executive from Farnborough is working hard to get fit and
raise funds for her run next month in the London Marathon, all in
aid of horses.
Anne Wise (54) of Peering Avenue, will be one of the 5 ILPH (International
League for the Protection of Horses) Golden Bond runners and she
will need to raise at least £1,000 in order to join thousands
of others on April 13 in London.
"It's always been my ambition," she says, "to run
a Marathon as I did some half marathons some years ago and to be
able to run in aid of worldwide horse welfare is an extra bonus.
"I am a supporter of the ILPH, but I have never done any fundraising
before, so it's proving to be quite a challenge in more ways than
one."
Anybody wishing to support Anne and the work of the ILPH, for whom
she is running exclusively, should contact her on 01276 672953 or
Mel Edwards, ILPH Support and Liaison Officer on 0870 366 6953.
