Easter Monday 12th April from 8.30 a.m. - 2.00 p.m. Free Admission.
The
Parade, dating back to 1886, consists of over 200 horse drawn (private
and trade) vehicles and carriages including entries from the Royal
Mews, Fortnum & Mason, Harrods, Young's and Fuller's Breweries.
See
the magnificent Shires and Heavy Horses with their brewers drays,
Hackney horses with Hansom cabs, Welsh Cobs with London Trollies,
Shetlands, Donkeys, Mules and many other breeds of horses and ponies.
Throughout
the morning the entries will parade around Battersea Park under
the watchful eye of a panel of judges including the Mayor of Wandsworth
who will be presenting the Awards.
The
Parade has something for every member of the family to enjoy. Grand-parents
can reminisce and show their grandchildren the sights of their youth.
There is opportunity for Easter shopping and refreshments at the
various stalls visiting Battersea Park as part of the Parade. The
sights and sound of old London - and all for free!
