Classical Master Teaches at Pine Lodge

European working equitation champion 2000 Bento Castelhano has just completed three days teaching at Pine Lodge School of Classical Equitation.

Bento trains and sells horses from the Centre Hippico, Porta Legre, Portugal, where he is Director. He teaches and competes all over Europe including Brazil, France and Germany. Pine Lodge is the only venue in England where he teaches.

A master of the old school, Bento promotes original Classical Portugese riding, taking his inspiration and methods from the original Classical trainers.

Over the three days (24 to 27 February) he taught riders of various abilities, some with their own horses and others riding Pine Lodge’s own Classically trained stallions. The improvements in just an hour’s lesson were remarkable.

Said Sue Barber, owner of Pine Lodge, “Bento can train and school any horse. He is the best rider and trainer of horses I have ever worked with.” Proof of this comes in the shape of Bento trained stallion, Infinito, resident at Pine Lodge and 1997 Lisbon Portugese Equitation Champion.

Bento will return to Pine Lodge to teach from 25 to 27 July. Anyone interested in benefiting from his experience should contact Sue Barber on 07765 000869.
