Burghley Winergy Young Event Horse Qualifiers under starters orders The 2001 Burghley Winergy Young Event Horse series will be off and running from 20th May when the first qualifier is held at College Equestrian Centre in Bedfordshire. The series traditionally starts in May and although it has had three qualifiers (Chepstow Horse Trials, Rutland Agricultural Show and Bramham Horse Trials) cancelled due to the Foot and Mouth outbreak, the organisers have been able to substitute further qualifiers. Arena UK is one of the venues that have stepped in to the breach, hosting qualifiers on 7th June, 5th July with a further qualifier is planned for an August date. Supported for a fifth year by Winergy®, the Burghley Winergy® Young Event Horse series has in its 15 years of running become a showcase for Event horse training and breeding in this country. Identifying the potential of many young event horses, the series provides a useful guide for breeders, owners and riders. The final will be held on Friday, 31st August 2001 at the Burghley Pedigree Horse Trials. For further information visit the website at www.burghley-horse.co.uk or ring +44 (0)1780 752131.
