The
UK's leading equine welfare charity, the ILPH (International League
for the Protection of Horses) has announced its plans for an Equine
Jubilee Celebration Ball to be held in London later this year.
Says Roly Owers, Director (Support) at the ILPH, " We couldn't
let our 75th Anniversary pass without marking the occasion in some
special way. We want the Ball to be an opportunity to celebrate
the horse and the work of the ILPH since its foundation in 1927.
"We do not want it to necessarily be a fundraising exercise,
but a celebration - all the costs will be covered by the ticket
sales and sponsorship - with the auction and raffle revenue a bonus.
We would love to see as many of our supporters as possible come
along to celebrate with us."
Among the auction items will be a unique ILPH Bob the Cob rocking
horse kindly made and donated by Stevenson Brothers, of Ashford
Kent and a week long African safari.
Tickets cost £75 (or £675 for a table of 10) which includes
reception drinks, a four course meal, half a bottle of wine per
head and dancing the night away to 29 Fingers Band and the William
Bartholomew Discotheque.
Tickets can be purchased via the ILPH website on www.ilph.org -
by phoning 0870 906 1927 or by writing to Equine Jubilee Celebration
Ball, ILPH, Anne Colvin House, Snetterton, Norfolk, NR16 2LR.
