Jumping - Irish Complete French Whitewash At Fontainebleau |
After
dominating the French international at Fontainebleau for its first
two days, the Irish pony contingent tonight (Sunday) completed the
whitewash with a win and numerous Top Ten places in the Grand Prix,
and a similar showing in the previous class, the Small Grand Prix.
Vicki
Hayes was tonight's champion, scoring the only clear round in the
hotly-contested Grand Prix, with Nicola Fitzgibbon, Heather Purcell,
and Mark Flynn also finishing high in the leaderboard.
Earlier,
Nicola Fitzgibbon, a consistent scorer all weekend on <Forever
Reunited>, won the Small Grand Prix, with team-mate Sarah Curran
coming second, and Irish riders taking a total of five places in
the Top Ten.
