Caroline Wins At Belton
KELSO-based
Caroline Powell and her own Corbally Oak captured the Equissage-sponsored
Novice section at Belton Park Horse Trials in Lincolnshire.
This
was Corbally Oak's third novice competition of the season and Caroline
is delighted with his progress.
Said
Caroline: "He is a big horse and has taken quite a long time
to mature, but he is now improving and I was delighted with his
win at Belton."
The
Equissage Novice Section drew more than 43 entries and the Irish-bred
gelding made little of the course.

Added
Caroline: "He is a big galloping horse and although the novice
cross-country at Belton is always regarded as quite stiff, he coped
very well.
"The
parkland setting, makes the event really special and Belton is always
an event I like to try and get to."
Tim
Savage of section sponsor Equissage said: "The two days at
Belton were wonderful. It was the first time I had been to the event
and I was very impressed.
"As
sponsors of William Fox-Pitt it is great to be involved at the top
end of the sport, but supporting a novice section as we did at Belton
is also very important."
