Torchbearer Grant Applications Available

In
its inaugural year of providing direct financial support to Americas
equestrian athletes through its Torchbearer Grant Program, USA
Equestrian awarded more than $120,000 to athletes and the organizations
that support them.
The
2003 Torchbearer Grant Guidelines and Application have been revised
to better serve the competitive needs of Americas equestrian
athletes. Effective immediately, a printable version of the 2003
Torchbearer Grant Guidelines & Application is available on
USA Equestrians website at www.equestrian.org/development/

Equestrian Torchbearer Grants are awarded based on financial need
of the applicant and to members in good standing. USA Equestrians
ability to provide Torchbearer Grants is based on available resources
and the generosity of those who support the Federation through
philanthropic gifts.

Equestrian Inc., as the National Equestrian Federation of the
U.S., is the regulatory body for the Olympic and World Championship
sports of dressage, driving, endurance, eventing, reining, show
jumping, and vaulting, as well as 19 other breeds and disciplines
of equestrian competition. As
the country's largest multi-breed organization, the Federation
has over 80,000 members and recognizes more than 2,800 competitions
nationwide each year. It governs all aspects of competition, including
educating and licensing all judges, stewards, and technical delegates
who officiate at these shows.
