Margie Engle Wins 3 Classes Today! - 1.40 m Class,
1.30 m Class and 1.35 m Class!

Fl April 2, 2003 AGA National Jumper Championship
began with wonderful sun and dry temperatures in the low 80s
beautiful weather for a competition. This all jumper competition
continues through Sunday, April 6.
In
the Internationale Arena, the $2,500 1.40 m Time First Jump Off
saw fifty-five horses attempt the course. With clean first rounds,
18 horses returned to contest the shortened jump off course. Out
of those horses, 12 horses had clean rounds in the jump off.
Laura
Kraut and Wet Paint were the fastest and won the class in a time
of 25.191 seconds. Wet Paint is a Paint gelding by Buddy Sacket
out of Scenic Sweet Kitty and is owned by the Pin Oak Farm of Lake
Forest, Illinois. Rich Fellers from Oregon and McGuinness were second
with 26.799 seconds. McGuinness is owned by Harry & Molly Chapman
of Wilsonville, OR. In 27.077 seconds was third place, Molly Ashe
riding King Louie. King Louie is owned by Rosewood Glen Ltd.
In
the 1.40 m Time First Round, Margie Engle bested the field with
Hidden Creeks Alvaretto owned by Hidden Creek Farm. Five horses
had fault free rounds and Margie was the quickest. Laura Chapot
and her horse Sprite were second placed with a round that was 1.5
seconds slower than Margie Engle and Hidden Creeks Alvaretto.
In
the 1.30 m Time First Jump Off, 43 horses competed and Camille with
Margie Engle riding won the class for owner, Lea Allen. Eric Lamaze
was second with Raya De La Cour for owner Paul Shapiro.
Naram
and Margie Engle won the 1.35 m Time First Jump Off.
