Elects New Executive & Announces First Race Day
The European Federation of Thoroughbred Breeder's Associations (EFTBA)
has elected a new executive and announced details of its first race
day at its 9th Annual General Meeting at Longchamp Racecourse, Paris
today (Sunday 12th May, 2002).
The newly elected executive, representing the interests of EFTBA
members in 22 countries comprises:

Ms Kirsten Rausing (Great Britain)
VICE-CHAIRMEN:
Ms Eimear Mulhern (Ireland)
Mr Charles Henri de Moussac (France)
Mr Rolf Leisten (Germany)
Dr Franco Castelfranchi (Italy)
Ms Isil Birol-Kog (Turkey)
HONORARY CHAIRMAN:
Mr Alec Head (France)
FIRST EFTBA RACE DAY
Details of the first EFTBA Race Day were also announced. It takes
place in Veliefendi Racecourse in Istanbul on Sunday 19th May, 2002,
with EFTBA sponsored prizes for the One Thousand Guineas and Two
Thousand Guineas.
It is expected that EFTBA delegates comprising 50-60 of the top
breeders from throughout Europe will attend the races at Veliefendi
as well as training sessions and visits to Izmit Central Stallion
Station
.
