Generous
Artist Boosts Charity Appeal
|
Thanks to the generosity of Jo Taylor, the well-known equestrian
artist, a horse lover is on course to achieve her fundraising target
for the challenge of a lifetime.
Sarah Daw has taken up the ILPH (International League for the Protection
of Horses) Challenge to raise £2,500 so that she can join
their Montana Cattle Drive, in the USA, in August this year.
Jo Taylor has very generously donated her painting of Richard Dunwoody
on Charter Party, a mixed medium study drawn from life, to Sarah's
fundraising efforts and the Picture Frame Co. Ltd have kindly framed
it free of charge.
The painting has a reserve price of £1,800 and can be seen
at the Osbourne Gallery, 13 Motcombe Street, London, W1 in June
during their exhibition of racing images. Jeffery Hughes, speaking
on behalf of the gallery said, "We are very pleased to be offering
the painting for sale on a commission free basis."
Mel Edwards, Fundraising Support and Liaison Officer at the ILPH
added, "I never cease to be amazed at everybody's generosity,
they really are marvellous ! It's thanks to people like Sarah, Jo,
the frame makers and the gallery that help the ILPH continue to
do the work that it does to improve the welfare of equines worldwide."
