Takes Third In Modena Grand Prix |
Ireland's
Conor Swail topped off an impressive outing at the three-star Modena
event this weekend (May 1-3) with a Third Place in the Grand Prix
tonight (Saturday).
With
one win, two Thirds and an Eighth already to his credit, the Malahide-based
rider brought out his 2002 Zuidlaren winner, Windgates King Koal,
for the final competition of the evening, and the 15 yr old Edward
Cawley-owned gelding, in his first 2003 outing, knocked just one
fence to bring Swail into Third.
After
the Grand Prix, Swail said: < I was delighted to have had such
a good weekend on such good horses. My short-term aim now is to
be selected to jump for Ireland in Rome later this month.>
