Fourth In Rome Grand Prix |
IN
A STRONG comeback after his below-par Nations Cup outing on Friday,
Co. Down-born Conor Swail steered the Edward Cawley-owned <Windgates
King Koal> into an impressive Fourth place in the Rome Grand
Prix today (Sunday), against Europe's toughest opposition, and picked
up 11,000 Euro in prize money.
The
31 yr-old Malahide-based rider took the Irish-bred stallion through
to the five-rider jump-off, and a single pole down kept him from
the top slot, as he racked up the fastest time of 36.77 seconds.
The class was won by French ace Bruno Broucqsault, riding <Dileme
de Cephe>, with a double clear and a time of 37.23.
