Lake Placid Horse Shows Welcome Hermès as Title
Sponsor of I Love New York Grand Prix
Lake Placid, NYApril 30, 2003The Lake Placid Horse Shows
Association is proud to announce that Hermès has joined the
horse show as the new title sponsor of the I Love New York Grand
Prix.
The $50,000 Hermès I Love New York Grand Prix will take place
on Saturday, July 5 as the featured event of the I Love New York
Horse Show. This grand prix is the second of two AGA grand prix
events held during the two weeks of horse show competition at the
North Elba Show Grounds, June 25-July 6.
We
are thrilled to have Hermès join us as the title sponsor
of this years I Love New York Grand Prix. As the maker of
fine equine products, Hermès contributes greatly to the sport
of show jumping and we are excited to have them on board as a sponsor,

the 166-year-old Paris-based saddler renowned worldwide for its
quality, creativity and style believes its collaboration with Lake
Placid Horse Shows will enable Hermès to work more closely
with its riding clientele as well as to highlight the companys
exquisite Equestrian Department at its flagship retail store at
691 Madison Avenue in New York City.
The
Lake Placid Horse Shows are renowned for combining exciting show
jumping competition with a relaxing and beautiful environment. The
shows offer the amenities of a world-class horse show with recreational
opportunities found at the finest resorts, making it one of the
most popular horse show venues in the United States.
Fishing,
swimming, hiking, canoeing, camping, and biking can all be enjoyed
just a few steps away from the horse show grounds. The event, which
attracts more than 1,200 horses for each of two weeks, is one of
the nations largest hunter-jumper horse shows. Four rings
of competition run simultaneously from 8:00 a.m. to late afternoon,
Wednesday through Sunday each week. The schedule includes North
American League (NAL) classes and qualifiers on the WIHS Championship
series which count as bonus points towards the Championships held
at the Washington International Horse Show. Additionally, there
are numerous hunter and equitation divisions including World Championship
Hunter Rider classes and Hunter Classics.

Admission
to the Lake Placid and I Love New York Horse Shows is $2.00 on weekdays
and $5.00 on weekends. Children under the age of 12 are admitted
