Horse Society announces new sponsorship for Approved Livery
Yards

The
British Horse Society (BHS) is pleased to announce a new sponsor
for its successful Approved Livery yard scheme. Rag-Fork, the company
made famous for its fight against ragwort in producing the easy
to use fork of the same name, has joined continuing sponsors South
Essex Insurance Brokers in support of improved horse welfare.
Announcing
the sponsorship agreement BHS Head of Approvals Chris Doran said,
"I am delighted that Rag-Fork has agreed to sponsor our scheme.
Since the launch in July 2002 there has been huge interest from
clients, proprietors and the media alike, and we now have over 220
approved livery yards registered with several more being processed.
Rag-Fork is an ideal company to be linked with livery yards as controlling
Ragwort is so important for horse welfare."
Becky
Donald, director of Rag-Fork added, "This is just the sort
of opportunity that we have been looking for. The Rag-Fork has proved
very popular in the never ending task of digging out weeds that
are poisonous to horses and an outlet such as the BHS Approved livery
yard scheme provides a 'win-win' situation all round, for us, for
the BHS, for livery yards and best of all, for the horse. Along
with our sponsorship of the livery yard scheme we will be offering
discounted prices for proprietors of all BHS approved establishments."
Proprietors
interested in claiming their discount price Rag-Fork should contact
Becky Donald direct at Rag-Fork, 110 Sutherland Street, Tickhill,
Doncaster DN11 9ER or by phone (tel: 01302 746077).
