Show Jumping - Ireland Fifth At Copenhagen Nations Cup

IRELAND finished fifth of twelve countries competing at the Nations Cup in Copenhagen, Denmark today (Friday), helped by a sparkling double clear round from Clones-born Clem McMahon on <Gelvin Clover> and clear rounds from Marie Burke and Cameron Hanley.

Denmark is not part of the Nations Cup Super League, but was nevertheless a severe testing ground for the Irish, with so many other countries fielding teams with premier riders and horses.

The Cup was won by Belgium with the Netherlands second and Switzerland third.
