HRH The Princess Royal Prepares BHS For Another
Successful Year

The
BHS AGM held on Wednesday 26 June 2002, chaired by BHS President,
HRH The Princess Royal, at Saddler's Hall, Gutters Lane, London
was a complete
success and was thoroughly enjoyed by all who attended. HRH The
Princess Royal gave a speech to open the meeting, praising the British
Horse Society for a successful year and working in partnership with
landowners and other organisations. She dealt with comments and
questions from the floor and handed the BHS Awards of Merit to the
six recipients. The three new honorary Vice presidents, The Rt.
Hon Lord Freeman, Mrs P E Vestey and Baroness Masham were also welcomed
to the Society.
Mrs
Pat Campbell continues her role as BHS Chairman and new appointees
to the Board of Trustees include The Rt Hon. Robin Cook MP, Laurie
Punnett as a British Riding Clubs representative, Peter Cook, Chris
Barber and Vikki Allen.
Miss
Marie Stokes FBHS, has been appointed as Vice Chairman bringing
her valuable wealth of training knowledge and experience to her
new role. BHS Chief Executive Mrs Kay Driver says, "We are
thrilled that Pat Campbell's effective Chairmanship will run on
with the new Vice Chairman bringing a heady mix of horsemanship
and management."
The
British Horse Society would like to thank the Worshipful Company
of Saddlers for allowing the AGM to be held in the magnificent Saddler's
hall.
