Top
riders to San Patrignano
The
6th CSI-A San Patrignano's International Jumping Show, which will
take place from July 19 through 21, will have an extraordinarily
rich participation of high-level riders. Top names of the worldwide
equestrian have already confirmed their attendance and some national
formations will compete with the full team which will participate
to the World Championships in Jerez on next September.
Belgium
will compete with Ludo Phlippaerts, European Champion and current
n. 5 of the FEI world ranking, Jos Lansink (n°14) Marc Van Dijck
(n°18); for the 'blues' of France Thierry Pomel, vice world-champion
at the Weg '98, Michel Robert (n°26) e Hubert Bourdy (n°50).
The Netherlands will present the Olympic Champion Jeroem Dubbeldam
(n° 17) Eric Van Der Vleuten (n°36) and Emile Hendirix (n°40).
For Switzerland Markus Fuchs (n°6) Willi Melliger (n°24)
and, under the United Kingdom colors, three very well experienced
riders: Michael Whitaker (n°12) Robert Smith e Tim Stockdale.
Large and qualified also the Italian participation, with our top
riders Jerry Smit (n°15) Roberto Arioldi (n°27) Gianni Govoni
and a bunch of emerging young riders that the manager of the National
Team, Duccio Bartalucci, will select on the basis of the technical
and competitive programs of the Italian Federation. Lastly, for
Ireland will be present Peter Charles (n°35), for Jordan the
Princess Haya, who will renovate her participation this year too
and, for the home-team, the "San Patrignano Jumping Team",
the Spanish Fernando Fourcade, technical director of the community
competitive activities.
The
high profile of participants has been highlighted by Giacomo Muccioli,
President of the Organizing Committee: "We are very glad that
the equestrian's top names are considering our Show as a show to
don't miss. To assess the highly appreciation of our work and, above
all, to see as all the Show's participants, from the riders to the
audience, consider this event as a moment in which the best values
of sports, friendship and solidarity, are actually and concretely
expressed is for all of us a source of great satisfaction. Thanks
to the CSI-A it is possible to communicate a strong message against
drugs and social outcast". These concepts have been declared
also by Emile Hendrix, technical advisor of the Show for the second
year: "my main aim, within the collaboration with the Community,
it is not to improve the quality of the Show, already very high,
but to make the Challenge Vincenzo Muccioli a "classic"
within the equestrian's calendar, a traditional appointment to which,
every year, the best riders wish to come back".
