This
year, the 2003 Selle Français Breeding Show, major event and
meeting for the selection and promotion of the Selle Français
breed, will take place on:
"
27 and 28 september 2003 at the Haras du Pin, National Championship
for 2 year old females and filly foals.
" 2, 3 and 5 october 2003 at the Haras de Saint Lô :
. 3 year old Selle Français Stallions Licensing Show
. National Championship for 2 year old males and foals.
. Commission for the aproval of 4, 5 and 6 year old stallions.
" Saturday 4 october : AUCTION SALE presenting championship
finalists for sale.

stars.
The
Journées Selle Français presenting the
Selle Français's best genetics and future champions
are an unrivalled opportunity to discover a preview
of tomorrow's champions.
Our
stars have also shone at 3 year old in France in their
time at Selle Français Stallions Licensing Shows
? We all remember Dollar du Mûrier, individual
Vice-Champion in jumping in Jerez, with Eric NAVET,

This
great event will naturally take place in the cradle of the
French sport horse breeding, Normandy, and is organised by
the ANSF, the National Association for the Selle Français
breed, together with the FNSF, Norman Selle Français
Federation. About 380 horses will run for the highly prized
title of Male and Female Champions of the Selle Français
breed of their generation and/or for approval as a sire.
The
potential of the 2 and 3 year olds will be judged on conformation,
movement and jumping ability, and for foals on conformation
and movement only.
In
the evening of Friday 3 october, sires, dams and offspring
from the best SF bloodlines will be presented to you during
the ANSF and FNSF breeder's party.
On saturday 4 october, about 50 promising Selle Français
2 and 3 year old males, females and foals will be sold by
auction. This first auction sale of Selle Français
genetics is organised by the ANSF with M. BOSCHER, auctioneer.

Sunday
5 october, the 2003 edition of the JSF will end with the approval
of 4, 5 and 6 year old stallions by the SF stud-book Commission,
the best ones being licensed for SF breeding.
Concerned
with the development of international exchanges and relationships
within the horse world, the ANSF staff will provide special assistance
to help foreign professionals and horse lovers to organise their
trip to France and make the best of their stay in Normandy. For
