Pro Stepps partners with APHA for 2003 World Show

FORT WORTH, Texas-Pro Stepps, which produces products geared toward improving the appearance of horses, has agreed to partner with the American Paint Horse Association (APHA) to put on the 2003 World Champion Paint Horse Show.

Pro Stepps, which has been in business for seven years, began with Paint Horses in mind. The very first line of horse care products was actually created for World Champion Paint Horse mare The Enchantress, according to Pro Stepps founder and owner Karen Stepp. Among the products designed for the Paint Horse were shampoos, conditioners and finishing sprays.

"This business began because of Paints," said Stepp, who owns five Paint Horses and is an APHA member. "I developed these products with a chemist because there was nothing out there I liked. Our first horses to use the products were Paints."
Pro Stepps provides products that are design to not only enhance a horse's appearance, but also to help provide the horse with healthy skin and hair. The products have been tested, formulated and modified throughout the years to become the highest quality horse-grooming products on the market, said Stepp.

"We try each product out for at least a year before we release it on the market," Stepp said. "We also consider feedback once it is on the market to modify it and make it the best product it can be."

"We've always enjoyed our relationship with Pro Stepps, and it is just being solidified even more by their commitment to the World Show," said APHA Executive Secretary Jim Kelley.
