Equestrians
Hail the Return of Denim & Diamonds 2004
Wellington, Florida June 10, 2003 Its b-a-c-k.
So, equestrians, get ready to get down! Denim & Diamonds
THE GREATEST PARTY EVER-- is returning during next seasons
Winter Equestrian Festival after a 4-year absence.
Chairmen
Mason Phelps, Jr. and Beverly Lake Wilkes, motivated by the overwhelming
demand within the equestrian community, have recently announced
that the famous Denim & Diamonds Gala will be reborn on February
15, 2004 at The South Florida Fairgrounds in West Palm Beach. Denim
& Diamonds, a visual kaleidoscope and entertainment wonderland,
was last held in the year 2000. During its successful 6-year run,
Denim & Diamonds raised over $1,000,000 for The United States
Equestrian Team (USET). Phelps and Wilkes, after the
2000 extravaganza, decided to take a breather.
But
now, with the upcoming 2004 Olympic Games in the offing, Phelps
and Wilkes felt it was time for a Denim & Diamonds comeback.
And time to support the USET in its Olympic aspirations.
Denim
& Diamonds: Back to the Future will be the theme. Orchestrated
by well-known Denim & Diamonds event-planner Bruce Sutka,
The South Florida Fairgrounds in West Palm Beach will be transformed
into a virtual recreation of former Olympic venues, with Athens
2004 the final destination. This will mean ethnically diverse cuisine,
areas and entertainers. And, as in prior years, there will be a
grand silent auction and a rider auction.
And the headlining acts? Well, Phelps and Wilkes are working with
top agents to secure the best groups that will keep the expected
2,000 plus revelers a-rockin-and-a-rollin
until the wee hours. The Village People look like a done deal.
Ticket prices will be $300 each, with VIP tables at $5,000, $10,000
and $25,000.
