Jumping - Kerrygold Grand Prix League - Smith Makes Debut
Win At Ballivor
|
IN
A JUMP-OFF almost entirely dominated by owner/riders, it was Peter
Smith who won through in beautiful sunshine at Ballivor today (Sunday),
taking <Zara's Pride> into First place in their debut 2003
Kerrygold Grand Prix Super League win.
And
with 15 points under his belt, Smith has now ousted both Lt. David
O'Brien (14.5 points) and Cian O'Connor (13 points) from the Top
Six in the Kerrygold rankings.
A
Second place today by James Kernan on <Out of Touch> also
catapulted him up the league table, where he now holds Fourth.
Shane
Breen once again took Sixth in the Grand Prix on <Luandra>,
as he had done last week at Mullingar, this time clocking up three
faults in the second round with an unfortunate refusal at the second
fence.
Clem
McMahon is still comfortably leading the Kerrygold League rankings
with a total of 35 points, but he will be vulnerable next weekend
(June 14-15) as he has been called up for international duty at
Hamina, Finalnd, and so will miss both the Armagh and Galway Grands
Prix at home.
