Equissage
To Sponsor A Race At Sandown Park
|
IN
an exciting new venture, horse physiotherapy experts Equissage are
to sponsor a race at Sandown Park on August 14.
The
Equissage Handicap Stakes will run over one mile and six furlongs
for three year olds.
Already
sponsors of race horse trainer Giles Bravery, Equissage is well
known in the racing world but this is a first foray into race sponsorship.
There
are six races at the meeting and the groom of the best turned out
horse running in the Equissage race will receive a £50 cash
prize.
All
trainers with horses running during the afternoon will also be given
a £160 money-off voucher for an Equissage system.
Kim
Smith-Bingham of Equissage said: "We are delighted to be sponsoring
the race. Many of our customers are from the racing world and we
feel it is important to put something back into a sport which has
proved such a winner for Equissage."
The
Equissage pad gives a deep cycloidal massage to the whole horse
and many top names in the racing world are keen advocates of the
system.
Top
racehorse trainer Giles Bravery, based at Revida Place in Newmarket,
has been using the Equissage pad on his team of 40 horses for more
than two years and has been delighted with the results.
Says
Giles: "Equissage is an invaluable tool around our yard. The
hand massager unit is very successful on sore shins and the process
is very therapeutic. You can see them relax as tension is relieved
from their muscles. All our horses are treated with Equissage at
least once a week."
Used
extensively by top racehorse trainers the Equissage system has been
developed by Niagara Healthcare physiotherapy products that have
been used on humans for both injuries and mobility for more than
50 years.
