ENTERTAINMENT AT BLAIR HORSE TRIALS Visitors to this years Bowmore Blair Castle International Horse Trials and Country Fair from August 24th to 27th will have even more than usual to entertain them. The spectacular Chariots of Fire display team will perform dare-devil stunts and leaps with ponies and carriages in both the Country Fair and main arenas on Sunday 27th August. The thrilling performance from Amanda and her team, which even includes one cow, involves driving ponies and carriages over a see-saw and braving the bridge of fire. Visitors will also be able to meet Amanda and her animals at the display team village alongside the main arena, between performances. Another treat for spectators will be the Danish Civil Protection League Band, which will be performing their mini "tattoo" in both arenas on Saturday 26th August. Event organiser, Tim Hadaway said, "We are delighted to welcome this unique Danish brass band of 48 members ranging in age from 14 to 66, and hope they enjoy their time at the Blair Castle Horse Trials." The Trinidad and Tobago Defence Force Steel Orchestra, fresh from the Edinburgh Military Tattoo will bring a Caribbean flavour to the main arena on Sunday. Their cheerful calypso style music is a joy to listen to and is bound to have everyone swaying and dancing in the grounds of magnificent Blair Castle. All this is in addition to the various Country Fair activities which include off-road driving, quad biking, archery, laser clay shooting and fly casting; not to mention the excellent shopping opportunities, festival of food, whisky tasting and cookery demonstrations.
