SPECIALIST PANELS attract Aussie Stars

An exciting new element of the EQUITANA Education Program includes 'Specialist Panels'. The aim of the panels is to bring professionals together in an interactive forum to highlight and debate areas of interest. Speakers will present their viewpoints and focus on personal experiences to present thorough and entertaining discussions.

Top of the panel list is the Olympic Panel, which will feature high profile equestrian athletes who have had Olympic and World success. The format will allow each panelist to share experiences that influenced their sporting development and lead up to the Olympics, as well as personal insights regarding their participation in world events. Confirmed panel speakers include:
Andrew Hoy, three times Olympic Gold Medallist in Eventing.
Gillian Rolton, Eventing Gold Medallist.
Julie Higgins, Paralympic Gold Medallist.

EQUITANA Reining Masters

Come and see 25 of Australia's most skilled horse and rider combinations compete for a prize pool of $15,000 in the EQUITANA Reining Masters.

This discipline displays the intricate movements required from the working horse, and is judged on the speed, skill and attitude of the horse whilst mastering a set pattern. Rider and mount combinations perform incredible spins, sliding stops and roll backs at amazing speeds that have to be seen to be believed!

The immense popularity of Reining was confirmed last year when it was chosen to be a demonstration event at the Sydney Olympic Games. Come and see for yourself why Reining is such a hit with the crowds.

Date: Thursday 22 November 2001
Venue: Melbourne Exhibition Centre, Melbourne Victoria
