Carey Wins Swedish Derby And 12,000 Euro
Irish
Army rider Lt. Shane Carey continued his almost unblemished 2002
run of success on the Irish-bred <Killossery> at the major
H&M Derby in Falsterbo, Sweden today (Saturday).
Taking
First Place with the only clear round of the competition, the young
Army rider also picked up a substantial 11,900 Euro in Prize Money.
The
Falsterbo Derby win now automatically qualifies Carey for both the
Hickstead Derby and the Hamburg Derby, later this year.
Irish
rider Denis Coakley, riding <Dreampoint>, took Sixth at the
Falsterbo Derby, with one of the fastest times, but incurring eight
faults, and picked up 1,200 Euro in Prize Money.
