Junior Show Jumping Team For European Championships

The Holmestead Saddlery Junior European Championship Show Jumping Team has been selected following a training and competition programme which the National Young Rider and Junior Committee of the SJAI drew up earlier in the year.

Under the auspices of Commdt John Ledingham, the riders attended viewing days in Cavan, Cahir and Kill and were monitored in their performance at specified shows during the season. Specific training days were designated and carried out at Suzanne Macken's.

The following have been selected to travel to the European Championships:
Tegan White on Rockrimmon Senator; Harriet McCord on Little Amadeus; Dominic O¹Halloran on My Sky Diamond; Gerard O¹Neill on Touched by Love and
Adrain Griffin on Rolestown Roly. Tara Dunne is the non travelling reserve with Coileen Aoibh.

Holmestead Saddlery, through the generosity of Bill Holmes, has extended his sponsorship package to assist with financing the training and competition preparation programme and the Junior Team's attendance at the European Championships in Hagen.

Prior to travelling to the Germany for the Championships, which take place from 1st August 4th August, the Team members will participate at the Hickstead meeting at the end of July. Also attending Hickstead are Lorraine O¹Brien riding Caherwisheen, Rachel Wyse riding Tampa Bay, Andrew Bourns with Iveena S and, Accordiano and Holly Latimer.

The European Championship Team and their horses have been appropriately fitted out to travel by Holmestead Saddlery and will be proudly sporting the Holmestead name at Hickstead and in Hagen.
