Notch Horse World Personalities to Launch Charity Ride
|
It
has now been confirmed that Sylvia Loch, Classical Dressage supremo
will be joining Ian Stark, the well known International Event Rider,
to launch the ILPH Transportation Awareness Ride at the Border Union
Agricultural Show at Kelso on Saturday 27 July.
The launch event will take place in the main ring immediately after
the Hunter Championships at approx. 12.50pm.
All those who wish to join the start of the Ride should meet at
10 am at Cleuchside Farm, just outside Oxnam on Sunday 28th July
when the ILPH horses and riders will commence their journey southwards.
Comments Sylvia Loch who will be riding her part bred Lusitano gelding
Espada at the launch, "Travelling can be stressful for even
the most well cared for animal. The
thought of 140,000 horses travelling in conditions of intolerable
squalor and depravation over so many 100s of miles without care,
food or water is a disgrace to the entire Human Race in the 21st
Century."
Those wishing to offer their support in any way can call a dedicated
phoneline 0870 908 1927 where they will be able to leave a message.
Full details about the Ride can be obtained by calling 0870 366
6910 or looking at www.ilph.org
where a full 6 week route timetable will be available shortly.
