The
prize AON goes to Mathy
winning
at San Patrignano has become an habit to the Belgian rider Francois
Mathy: he took the Infostrada prize in 2000, the grande Chasse in
2001 and even this year he didn' delude the fans' expectations,
by gainig the AON prize, opening class of the closing day at the
show-jumping dedicated to the memory of the community's founder,
Vincenzo Muccioli
The competition, a class reserved for young horses, let in to the
final jump-offs only 9 riders among 33 in the starting list. Aboard
the bay Calmero Orion, Mathy was capable of carriying out a very
fast second manche with a clear round which led him to score a time
of 40.77. A performance which proved unreachable for everybody else
and left behind pair as outstanding as Engmann-Cobold, van Dijk-Sonates,
Lansink-Pilgrim Z and Melliger-Liquido. First of the Italians came
the young "azzurro" Giuseppe Rolli on Nearco, who due
to a fault in the jump-offs slipped back to the competition eigth
