Vincenzo Muccioli: now it's France to score
Now
it was Michel Robert's turn to score the first victory for France.
Robert, who in the nineties did ride for San Patrignano's jumping
team, with which he became both individual and team silver medallist
at the world champioship in Le Hague (1994), won the SEA prize,
an accumulator competition, in front an audience of 3000 people
gathered to the community arena to attend the show jumping closing
evening.
The French, aboard the 11 years old bay mare Olympia, preceded the
German Heinrich Engmann on Candela, again on the second place as
in the first afternoon competition, the Belgian Francois Mathy Jnr
on Ivoor, and the Colombian Juan Carlos Garcia on Thorn.
Particularly satisfied with the event's progress, the Dutch rider
Emile Hendrix, technical counselor for San patrignano show-jumping,
said: "In this edition all is going for the best and tonight
the audience looks forward the start of the Grand Prix. This is
another proof how attracting are competitions by night. By the way
even Athen's Olympic Commitee would like to introduce this nightly
innovation in a most important event like olympic games
