Governance
|
In
advance of the Board of Directors meeting of USA Equestrian, the
National Equestrian Federation for the United States, to be held
on Tuesday, July 9, in Lexington, Kentucky, the Federation's officers
and legal counsel have issued findings on the pending sport governance
issues.
The
Federation's Executive Committee, at its meeting on June 18, voted
to direct the officers and legal counsel to study the matter,
including the United States Olympic Committee's hearing panel
report issued early in June, and report their findings to the
Board of Directors. The findings are being released for review
by the Board of Directors and equestrian public simultaneously,
in order that they receive the widest possible circulation possible
in advance of the meeting. The documents can be viewed by visiting
the USA Equestrian web site at http://www.equestrian.org/webcasts/7-9-2002/index.asp.
