European Championships Short-List Announced


The short-list for the 2003 FEI European Show Jumping Championships to be held in Donaueschingen (GER) from 20th - 24th August has been announced and is as follows:-

John Whitaker From Huddersfield, WEST YORKSHIRE with Lord Z *(Mrs C Whitaker & Dr P Bauer).

Michael Whitaker From Whatton, NOTTINGHAMSHIRE with Handel II *(Miss A Bedford) and Fleur Z *(Mr M Whitaker).

Robert Smith From Shrewley, WARWICKSHIRE with Marius Claudius *(Mrs D Cornish & Miss P Cornish), and Mr Springfield *(Mr R Smith).

Richard Davenport Based in Valkenswaard, HOLLAND with Grand Marnier *(Mr M Dawes) and Luc *(Mr M Dawes).

This year's Championships will take place in the attractive German town of Donaueschingen, located near the Swiss border on a high plateau between the Black Forest and Lake Constance. Competitions will be held over 5 days starting with a warm-up competition on Wednesday 20th August 2003. The first speed leg of the Championship takes place on Thursday 21st August with the Team Championship the following day, Friday 22nd August 2003 and the Individual medals will be decided on Sunday 24th August 2003.
