Webster & Blackland Ranch Ride Against Cancer |
Fort
Saskatchewan - Canadian performance horse trainer, Clay Webster
is sharing what he loves best to help a cause that is close to his
heart. In 1995, Webster lost his mother, Faye, to leukemia. Now
the horseman dedicates himself to a number of cancer benefit demonstrations
each year, to help raise money for a cure.
On
August 9-10, 2003, Webster will conduct a horsemanship/reining clinic
hosted by the Blackland Ranch Equine Events Center in Fort Saskatchewan,
AB. A limited number of riding participants will take part in the
two-day event (based on pre-registration), and all equine enthusiasts
are invited to come and watch them learn Webster's Gentle Logic©
theories, free of charge. There will be no admission fee for spectators,
however, donations will be encouraged and collected throughout the
weekend. 100% of the proceeds gathered will later be donated to
the Canadian Cancer Society.
The
two-day clinic will discuss a variety of horse/reining-related topics
including the progression of foundation ground work to performance
training, reining show tips, health issues and individual riding
participant needs.
Webster,
a proven competitor and proven clinician, has worked with over 2,000
horses of various breeds and disciplines. He has also instructed
hundreds of riders through lessons and clinics. Webster's own GENTLE
LOGIC© program was derived from the inspiration of some of
the world's most prominent horse trainers and numerous years of
experience within the industry. His recent accomplishments include
winning the reserve championship of the Ltd. Open at the 2003 South
Country Derby; the reserve
championship of the NRHA Ltd. Open at the Reining Alberta Spring;
and the reserve championship of the Open Three-Year-Old Futurity
at the 2003 Saamis Summer Slide.
