Kurten
Bounces Back At San Patrignano
|
AFTER
A few months of low profile on the international stage, Ireland's
Jessica Kurten bounced back at the four-star Italian venue of San
Patrignano tonight (Friday) with a convincing win on her nine-year-old
mare Quibell.
With
a 6,000 Euro purse at stake, Kurten was just fractions of a second
ahead of Dutch rider Peter Geerink, and saw her team-mate Robert
Splaine steer his seemingly unshakable Coolcorron Cool Diamond into
Third for a hefty share of the prize money.
International
selectors will be closely watching both riders, with next week's
Hickstead looming, and the subsequent choice to be made as to who
represents Ireland at the Super League fixture at Dublin in August.
