Spectators Delight at Fidelity Investments Jumper Classic

Hamilton, MA--July 14, 2003--The Fidelity Investments Jumper Classic
brings the excitement of powerful horses and fast-paced show jumping
competition to the Boston area on September 3rd through the 7th.
The only Grand Prix event in the Boston area, the Jumper Classic
has been dubbed the premier social sporting event of the season
by The Boston Globe. This world class show jumping competition attracts
some of the top riders and horses in the country who have represented
the United States internationally. This years $50,000 Grand
Prix will draw a field of some 40 competitors vying for first place.
Grand Prix is the highest level of show jumping in the sport and
tests both skill and speed over a complex course of obstacles.
But
the Jumper Classic is not only about horses. Gourmet food, exhibitors
tents filled with artwork and horse-related items and gifts, pony
rides for children, and intermission entertainment will add to the
ambiance of a festive late summer weekend. Spectators and exhibitors
alike are also invited to the Fidelity Investments Jumper Classic
Kick-Off Party to benefit S.A.F.E Studio on Friday evening, September
5th. Located in Ipswich, Mass., S.A.F.E. Studio, Inc. is a non-profit
expressive art therapy center for survivors and those at-risk of
abuse and trauma. They provide a place of support, safety and expression
for their clients. At the party in addition to a live and silent
auction, Denise Hajjar Fashions will be modeling what to wear to
Sundays Grand Prix and VIP champagne luncheon. All in all,
it is a great evening to meet the riders and enjoy the country setting.
Tickets for the party are $65 per person, $125 per couple. The ticket
prices include a cocktail reception with an open bar for the evening.
The
Laurent Perrier Champagne luncheon will be held on Sunday, September
7th. This is the highly sought after spot to watch the Grand Prix
while you sip on champagne and enjoy gourmet food. Spectators at
the VIP luncheon can also participate in the Ladys Best Hat
Contest. The judges will be Sarie Boyd, editor, and Eleanor Spaak,
society writer, of The Newbury Street and Back Bay Guide. Tickets
for the lunch are $130; they include lunch, open bar, seating under
the tents, parking, and a program book.
So come applaud the national and international riders who have achieved
the pinnacle of equestrian excellence in a sport that demands courage,
confidence and commitment. Cheer the horses whose strength and bravery
will be tested by the technically challenging courses. Whether you
