New
Director for Horse Welfare Charity

Following
the departure of Roly Owers earlier this year Linda Hams, of Huntingdon
in Cambridgeshire is to join the UK's leading horse welfare charity
as their Director of Fundraising and Communications.
Linda,
38, is due to take up her position at the ILPH (International League
for the Protection of Horses) Headquarters in Snetterton, Norfolk
on Monday 4th August.
On
hearing of her selection she commented, "I am really excited
to be given the opportunity to not only take forward the ILPH fundraising
programme, but to be working for a charity committed to improving
horse welfare worldwide."

Linda
is presently working as Head of Funding Development at the RSPB
in Sandy Bedfordshire where she has responsibility for managing
the Trusts, Grants, Corporate and Regional fundraising teams, as
well as the trading company. Prior to that she was Assistant Director
(Policy and Marketing) at the Association for Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus,
based in Peterborough.
Of
Linda's appointment John Smales, Chief Executive at the ILPH says,
"In these competitive days, a good fundraiser and communicator
is vital to the success of any charity. I know that in Linda Hams
we have made an excellent choice and we are all very much look forward
to working with her."
In
her spare time Linda rides at advanced level in endurance riding
and has this year been selected for the British Intermediate Endurance
Team.
