Representation Selected For U.S. Equestrian Board

KY and Gladstone, NJ July 1 - As required by the United
States Olympic Committee (USOC), the newly formed United States
Equestrian Federation Board must include at least 20% representation
by eligible Athletes on its Board and certain committees. There
are two seats for each of the Olympic disciplines of Dressage,
Eventing and Jumping, one seat for each of the FEI disciplines
of Driving, Endurance, Reining and Vaulting, one seat for a Paralympic
athlete and one seat to be held by the USOC Active Athletes Committee
Representative.
The
following athletes have been selected as voted on by their peers:

Equestrian Inc., as the National Equestrian Federation of the
U.S., is the regulatory body for the Olympic and World Championship
sports of dressage, driving, endurance, eventing, reining, show
jumping, and vaulting, as well as 19 other breeds and disciplines
of equestrian competition. As
the country's largest multi-breed organization, the Federation
has over 80,000 members and recognizes more than 2,800 competitions
nationwide each year. It governs all aspects of competition, including
educating and licensing all judges, stewards, and technical delegates
who officiate at these shows.
