Breakthrough
in nutrition helps horses with respiratory problems

A
new respiratory support formula, WINERGY VENTIL-ATEä, is providing
a breakthrough for horses at risk from respiratory challenges such
as Recurrent Airway Obstruction (RAO).
Developed
as a result of a massive research project conducted by the WALTHAM®
Equine Studies Group, in collaboration with the Animal Health Trust
(AHT), WINERGY VENTIL-ATEä is the only equine respiratory supplement
to have been proven in published scientific trials.
Horses
breathe over 70,000 litres of air a day and even more if exercised.
A healthy respiratory system is vital for overall well-being, yet
a number of environmental factors such as pollens, dusts, atmospheric
pollutants and stabling regimens may severely compromise the condition
of your horse’s airways. The lungs normally provide natural
defences to combat these respiratory hazards including the secretion
of mucus and also by the specific production of antioxidants. Work
at the AHT in collaboration with WALTHAM® showed that horses
with RAO have much lower levels of a key antioxidant than healthy
horses.
This
research also demonstrated that a unique form of supplementation
can help improve lung health by increasing key antioxidant levels.
WINERGY VENTIL-ATEä contains a unique and balanced blend of
antioxidants, including vitamin C, which has been scientifically
proven to support the horse’s natural lung defences. It may
be especially beneficial for horses with compromised respiratory
function as well as all stabled horses.
