Tim Stockdale from Roade, Northampton has sustained injuries following
a recent fall schooling a horse at home. The accident occurred
whilst Tim was schooling through a combination when the horse
he was riding tipped over, throwing Tim into the next part of
the combination, the fence then fell on top of Tim and the horse.
The
horse escaped injury free, but Tim having been knocked unconscious
was taken to hospital by ambulance. X-rays revealed that Tim has
shattered and dislocated a thumb which will be operated on, on
Wednesday and another X-ray will be taken of Tim's jaw which has
a suspect hairline fracture. Tim hopes to be back in the saddle
for the Royal Show (hand permitting - it will be set in fibreglass)
and has purchased some 'loop' reins which would enable him to
ride if the Doctor's permit.
