SHOW JUMPING - IRELAND FAIL TO ADD TO NATIONS CUP TALLY

The Irish European Show Jumping Champions today (Friday) failed to add to their 2001 tally of three Nations Cup wins, when they finished fourth in the prestigious Aga Khan Trophy competition on their home turf at the Kerrygold Dublin Horse Show.

Despite a second round rally that delivered three clear rounds, the Irish team of Peter Charles, Jessica Kurten, Kevin Babington and Dermott Lennon were not able to shake off the heavy first round burden of14 faults, and had to be content with a Fourth, behind the US, France, and winners Belgium.
