SHOW JUMPING - IRELAND FAIL TO ADD TO NATIONS CUP
TALLY
The Irish European Show Jumping Champions today
(Friday) failed to add to their 2001 tally of three Nations Cup wins, when they
finished fourth in the prestigious Aga Khan Trophy competition on their home
turf at the Kerrygold Dublin Horse Show.
Despite a second round rally that delivered three clear rounds, the Irish team
of Peter Charles, Jessica Kurten, Kevin Babington and Dermott Lennon were not
able to shake off the heavy first round burden of14 faults, and had to be
content with a Fourth, behind the US, France, and winners Belgium.
