USA EQUESTRIAN ANNOUNCES RESULT OF 2001 HBO/AHSA
NATIONAL PONY JUMPER CHAMPIONSHIP INDIVIDUAL COMPETITION
USA Equestrian (formerly AHSA) announced today the
result of the 2001 HBO/AHSA National Pony Jumper Championship Individual
Competition, which took place on August 16th 2001 at the Western North Carolina
Agricultural Center, Fletcher, NC.
Exhibitors from across the nation qualified to compete in this event by being
one of the top four rider/pony combination in their Zone based on National
points.
RESULTS:
Champion - High Meadow's Mambo #5 (Kathleen Scott), Mukwonga, WI; owner - High
Meadow Farm LLC, Mukwonga, WI.
The AHSA Style Award, which is presented to the child who displays the best
classical jumping style during the three days of the Pony Jumper Championship
was won by Susie Middlebrook, Moor Park, CA. The judge for this award was Steve
Sarafin Jr.
USA Equestrian Inc., as the National
Equestrian Federation of the U.S., is the regulatory body for the Olympic and
World Championship sports of dressage, driving, endurance, eventing, reining,
show jumping, and vaulting, as well as 19 other breeds and disciplines of
equestrian competition. As the country's largest multi-breed organization, the
Federation has over 77,000 members and recognizes more than 2,800 competitions
nationwide each year. It governs all aspects of competition, including
educating and licensing all judges, stewards, and technical delegates who
officiate at these shows.
